CONTEST INTRODUCTION
Here's your chance to promote the new logo for the world's number one freelancing website and win US$10,000! Expose our logo to as many people as possible, as creatively as possible! Create a real life media stunt or find some other way to get publicity! To enter, all you need to do is to send us a photo, image or video of your work, or a link to it in the news.HOW DO I ENTER?
Submissions are now being accepted through Friday February 26th 2010 (midnight EDT). All contest submissions must be entered through our online submission form and must conform to our Contest Terms and Conditions in order to qualify for entry. You may enter multiple submissions. Late submissions will not be accepted, no exceptions.
THINK BIG!
Think of an original stunt to get publicity. Convince 100 people to form the shape of the logo? Build a giant hummingbird? Make a giant crop circle? Project it on the moon? Go for it!! The winner will be chosen based on the combination of creativity, originality, and the number of people that see or amount of exposure that your entry receives. Remember, the more people that see your entry the better! PS: Photoshopped images are fun, but unless you can think of a way to get lots of people to see them, they won't count for much :)

ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS
We will announce the top finalists on Monday the 1st of March, 2010. The top finalists will be chosen based on a variety of factors including how many people were reached, creativity, ingenuity. Following this, the final top 10 will be announced on Wednesday the 3rd of March. On Friday the 5th March, the fifth to tenth places will be announced. On Wednesday the 10th March, fourth and third place will be announced. On Friday the 12th March the winner and runner up will be crowned!
PEOPLES CHOICE AWARD
On Monday the 1st of March, the top finalists will be announced, and a gallery of their submissions presented. At this time, online voting will be enabled. Online voting will close at midnight on Thursday the 11th March 2010 EDT. The winner of the People's Choice Award will be presented on the with $2,500 and the Master Marketeer Insignia!
If the People's Choice Award winner is the same as the overall competition winner, the prize for the People's Choice Award will go to second place in the voting.
INSIGNIA
The Master Marketeer and Specialist Marketeer Insignia are highly coveted awards presented to the top marketers in their field. The insignia will be displayed next to the user's name when bidding on marketing related jobs, as well as on the user's profile.
RULES
Promotion
All promotions must place Freelancer.com in a positive light. No illegal acts or acts that will bring Freelancer.com into disrepute will be accepted.
Group entries are permitted (if you want to form a team).
As entries are submitted, we will make them publicly viewable on this website.
We reserve the right to modify the rules at any time.
Participation
This contest is open to anyone. Contestants must be registered members of Freelancer.com (which is free) and must join the contest in their own private personal capacity.
GUIDANCE - IMPORTANT!
- The logo must be identifiable to Freelancer.com, but not necessarily be an exact replica. You may an alternative representation of the logo for your promotion.
- You are free to promote the logo in any form (e.g. 3D, as actual origami, giant size, as a crop circle etc. Be creative!)
- The text "Freelancer" or "Freelancer.com" are not necessary but may be included if you wish.
SUBMISSION FORMAT
To qualify, each entry should be submitted through the online interface and must include the following details and format:- High resolution image, video or sound file; or alternately links to a website or news article with the promotion.
- Entrant's full name, country or nationality where based, website (if any) and email address.
- Entrants may find useful the following media kits: Adobe Illustrator, EPS, Corel Draw, JPG.
- How to make the Freelancer(tm) origami hummingbird instructions.
